Happy New Year

Happy New Year.

I have reflected over this past year with hope and despair, both battling a war inside of me on how I should feel about 2023. The year began with the biggest loss of my life. How does one move on after the loss of your soul mate? However, life doesn’t stop just because you want it to. The world kept turning and I kept moving. I felt like Dory from Finding Nemo where she was in the dark and chanted “just keep swimming” over and over again. I was in the dark, unable to function and only to be able to focus on my project, Little Black Book.

LBB might have been the best book I have ever written. I won several awards through American Fiction Awards and Book Fest, validating my success with the story that I wrote at my soulmate’s side while she lost her battle with cancer. After LBB I was still angry and in mourning so out came The Gem Collector, another award-winning psychological thriller book.

Other books that I have published this year include a reworking of Musings of a Deranged Mom and Hill Country Desires. These aren’t new releases, but I turned both series into anthologies. All my books are available online and on my website. If you want signed books, I ship at no additional cost. Check out my order form,

Over the past year, I’ve had losses, but I’ve also had gains. If you follow me at all, you’ll find my many shenanigans and adventures with author, Mariah Kinglsey. This past year, I’ve learned that through the darkest of times there will always be a light shining. Find the light and escape the bleak darkness. Mariah became my new light. Follow me on Facebook and laugh at our adventures.

I’m working on some new pieces that hopefully I will finish soon. I had to take a break from writing but now the bug bit me on the ass and I’m working like a fiend. (How does one work like a fiend? Does a fiend even work?) I’m hoping to have some pieces to go to edits soon with a spring release. (I hope)

I’m also traveling to some fun locations this year. Check out my schedule on my webpage,

I’m coming to Kansas City in February. I’m hoping to see a glimpse of my Travis Kelce. Not because I’m a big football fan, can’t stand it. But I’m a huge fan of his ummmmmmm   Glutes! He’s hawt!!!!   Shh, don’t tell him I said that. (Unless you think I have a change to beat out Taylor Swift to be at his side.) P.S. My husband knows. Travis is on my list. You know, the list of people that I can step out with in our marriage. Husband laughs thinking that I could never get someone like Travis, or Mark Wahlberg. But kidnapping counts, right? Ha Ha, I’m just kidding… Kind of!

Where was I? Squirrel!  Oh Yeah. Come to Kansas City and come meet me. I’ll have some fun swag and I love to talk to readers. Especially if I’m drunk. That’s when I turn into Oprah and start giving away books, cut me off!  You get a book, you get a book, everybody gets a book!  My PA/travel assistant hates me. (Bring me wine and I’ll gift you a little something, something. Wink, Wink)

It’s time for me to get back to the grind! These books aren’t going to write themselves, are they. (I wish) Have the happiest New Year and find your light. I have found mine.

P.S. Just don’t tell her. She doesn’t know we’re friends yet. Giggle Giggle

SQUIRREL!

Other Authors to check out.

Dominated By Desire by Barbara Donlon Bradley

A marriage of convenience turns into a bonfire of desire.

Heather can’t believe she is the only person on Earth who can protect Storm, the ambassador from Vespia. It has something to do with a pheromone the Vespian male exudes. Although everyone tells her she is immune, she doesn’t agree. There is something about the man that makes her desire skyrocket whenever she is around him. Storm finds Heather fascinating. Her bright violet eyes hold a world of emotions in them, and her spunky attitude draws him to her. He wants her with a depth he never experienced before. When Heather becomes the focal point of several kidnapping attempts, he realizes she’s going to need his protection more than him needing hers. The closer they get, the harder it will be to walk away when the danger passes.

Don't forget to check out the full series!
